Hi Scottie Families,
There are a lot of important activities happening next week!
Bridges Campaign: Please help support our Bridges Campaign. In order to fulfill our Lenten promise to participate in almsgiving, the St. Margaret of Scotland CES community is hoping that you will be generous in sending in donations for men, women and families who access “The Bridges Shelter”. There is a great need for socks and toiletries. Donations will be accepted until Thursday, March 29. They will then be dropped off at The Bridges Shelter on the Easter Weekend. Thank you so much for your kindness and support!
Monday, March 26: Wear Purple for Epilepsy Awareness: Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple in support of epilepsy awareness. Show your support Scotties and wear purple on Monday!
Tuesday, March 27: Mental Health Presentations: Our Waterloo Catholic District School Board Mental Health Lead, Sharon Porty, will be speaking to Grades 6-8 about building positive mental health, understanding features of depression, anxiety and how to use positive coping strategies and where to go for help if needed.
Wednesday, March 28: Spirit Day: Dress like a “Super Hero” or “Disney Character” Day
Thursday, March 29: 12:45: Bread Liturgy: We will all come together as a school community and reflect on the true meaning of Holy Week and Easter. We will reflect on the Last Supper and break bread together, as a community. Parents are welcome to join.
