Mr. Jodie Schnarr,

FAITH

A New Year’s Prayer
Lord, You make all things new
You bring hope alive in our hearts
And cause our Spirits to be born again.

Thank you for this new year
For all the potential it holds.
Come and kindle in us
A mighty flame
So that in our time, many will see the wonders of God
And live forever to praise Your glorious name.

Amen

If school buses are cancelled in the morning due to inclement weather, they are cancelled all day and will not pick up students who found other means of transportation to arrive at school. Please note that transportation cancellations do not automatically mean schools are closed.  school is to be closed during the day, students will not be dismissed until 11.35 A.M. for morning closure or at the regular 3:20 P.M. dismissal.  Students will be dismissed according to the request identified by parent/guardians earlier this year.

UMBRELLA PROJECT

The January Umbrella Skill is RESILIENCE!

During the month of December, we focused on the skill of SELF-COMPASSION!

ECO / GREEN TEAM

Trash Less Tuesdays are encouraging students and staff to bring their lunches in reusable containers.

Thirsty Thursdays encouraging everyone to drink water from a reusable water bottle that can be filled at our water bottle filling stations throughout the school.

We would also like to invite families to send in used batteries for our battery recycling program that is linked with Free the Children’s ME of WE campaign as each AA battery has enough zinc for 6 children in developing nations! Thank you to everyone for your support and look for new eco-friendly initiatives happening in our school each month.

STUDENT PARLIAMENT

Popcorn sales will continue every Friday for only $1.00!!

PARKING

Thank you for respecting our ‘Student Safety Zone’ sign at the entrance to our parking lot. I thank the staff that volunteer to be at the gates in the morning and afterschool. Also, please be extra safe while picking up on the road. Please do not block driveways, and do not let students cross the road unattended to be picked up.

Please respect our friends at the YMCA. Please do not park in front of the entrance or use the designated parking spots.

SCHOOL SAFETY

We will begin to review ‘Snow Safety Rules’ as the winter weather is upon us! Please continue to send students dressed to be active outside during recess and lunch!

CATHOLIC SCHOOL COUNCIL

Remember to sign up for our Wednesday Pizza lunches at lunchboxorders.com.

Our next meeting is Wednesday January 23rd at 6:15 p.m. in the school Literacy Room.
