Toronto Blue Jay theme day is Wednesday April 10th

In the excitement of another Toronto Blue Jay baseball season, I have made a bit of a mess in my communications to staff, students and families about our upcoming ‘Blue Jay Day’.

Grade 7 and 8 students will be hosting a Blue Jay Day Wednesday April 10th. SchoolCashOnline orders will be accepted until Friday April 5th. If there are issues with SchoolCashOnline please contact Mrs. Goldrick at the Office: Nicole.Goldrick@wcdsb.ca

Here is the correct and original letter:

BLUE JAY DAY

St. Margaret is going to help kick off the Toronto Blue Jays 2024 season on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024.  The grade 7/8 classes will be hosting a BLUE JAY DAY and HOT DOG LUNCH!!

Everyone is invited to wear Blue Jay apparel or blue and white on this day. For a small donation, students will also be allowed to wear baseball caps all day!!  There will be an opportunity to eat a classic ballpark lunch…HOT DOGS!

The Grade 8 students will be leading the school in the Blue Jays song and doing the 7th inning stretch!  All students are welcome to bring their baseball gloves to play catch during recesses!

This HOT DOG LUNCH on Wednesday April 10th will be a fundraiser to support the Grade 8 Graduates (graduation celebration, yearbook, etc.).  If any parents are able to volunteer their time to assist with cooking hot dogs, please email heather.cater@wcdsb.ca

Each hot dog costs $2.00, each bag of chips costs $1.00, and each juice box costs $1.00. There will be mustard, ketchup, and relish supplied on the day so students will be able to put on their favourite toppings.  Everything can be ordered through SchoolCashOnline.

Orders will be due on Friday April 5th, 2024.
