PD Day Friday January 20 Reminder

St. Margaret Families:

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday January 20th is a Professional Development Day and NO SCHOOL for students!

Nutrition for Learning at St. Margaret

St. Margaret Families:

As you may be aware of, we have been offering our Nutrition for Learning (N4L) program in all classes for all students.

Each week a bulk order of food is delivered to the school. N4L has also provided the school with a new refrigerator. Each classroom has a plastic container for non-perishables and a cooler bag with an ice pack for perishables. Nutrition for Learning offers food items from all 3 food groups (veg/fruit and dairy/protein and grain).

Daily, each class is provided enough items for all students in the class to access.

This program is no cost to the school. Once a year we are asked to reach out to our community for any donations to support the program. This Wednesday each student will bring home a Nutrition for Learning ‘Toonie Donation’ card. Please consider returning a toonie attached to the card or donating on-line at nutritionforlearning.ca/schoolfinder.

Regardless of a donation, all children will continue to have this opportunity.
