WCDSB Schools to Re-open on Tuesday, November 8, 2022

As a result of this morning’s announcement by the Premier that the Ontario government will rescind Bill 28 and will return to collective bargaining with the Canadian Public Sector Employees Union – Ontario — (CUPE), education workers represented by CUPE have agreed to pause their job action and return to schools effective tomorrow – Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

This means all WCDSB schools (including St. Louis) will be open on November 8 for a regular day of classes.

All school transportation will be running as regularly scheduled.

All WCDSB extended day programs will be running on their regular schedules.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we transitioned into remote learning.

We pray that both sides will quickly reach a fair and just collective agreement that serves the interests of all.

Chromebooks are needed to be available for classes. Please return the chromebook, charger and instructions with your child.

Halloween follow up and Candy Drive

What a fun and ‘spirit filled’ Halloween day!

Click the link to see the amazing pumpkins: St. Margaret Pumpkins 2022

Also, St. Patrick Church is collecting Halloween Candy. This was in the church bulletin Sunday:

‘Did you know that starving children are often unable to eat and that sucking on a candy can stimulate their appetite? If you have any leftover Halloween candy this year, kindly drop it off at the church by November 6. The Catholic Women’s League will be donating to CFFC (Canadian Food For Children)”

You are welcome to send any candy donations to the school Office and I will be happy to drop it off at the church this Sunday on behalf of St. Margaret!
