WCDSB School Climate Survey

All parents and guardians of St. Margaret Catholic School to complete the School Climate Survey.

The purpose of the climate survey is to find out about bullying/harassment, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and homophobia, amongst students at school.

The information will be used by the principal and staff to help promote an environment of respect, safety, and belonging for all students.  Your answers are confidential. We are interested in what you and other school members have to say.

If you have any questions/comments, please contact the WCDSB Research Coordinator at Kelly.Roberts@wcdsb.ca

You can access and complete the School Climate Survey by clicking the link below.

WCDSB Budget 2019 2020

Parents and Guardians:

Please consider completing the WCDSB 2019-2020 budget survey.  The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. The Board values input from stakeholders and your feedback helps ensure that budgets are aligned according to the Board, school and stakeholder needs.

The survey will be open until March 27th, 2019.  The survey results will be made available after they have been presented to the Board’s Budget Advisory Committee.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to the survey.

ECO FAIR Tuesday April 16

Dear St. Margaret Families,

On behalf of the Green Team, we would like to invite all students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 interested in participating in a joint ECO Fair (Environmental Science Fair) with Clemens Mill PS to be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at St. Margaret School.

Why participate in ECO Fair 2019?

*To bring together two neighbouring schools in an outward show of friendship and community

*To build partnerships with wider connections in the neighbourhood and the Greater Waterloo Region community

*To showcase student learning and ideas while building their creativity, research and communication skills

*To increase awareness of environmental and social justice issues in our community and beyond

Students will be asked to research ANYTHING related to the earth and to communicate their learning at the ECO Fair by setting up a presentation space on a table – think ‘traditional science fair idea’. The ECO Fair will not be judged, however, there will be community leaders and industry professionals circulating to offer feedback to students. Once students and families have committed to participation, further information will be given out in the form of an ECO Fair Handbook.

If you think you might be interested in participating in this exciting venture:

The first step is to decide whether you will work as an individual, with a partner, in a small group, or as a family.

Second, think about the subject area you are interested in researching.

Finally, fill out the registration form and return the form to Mrs. Sullivan or Mrs, Camacho by Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

Thank you! We look forward to seeing some amazing investigations,

The St. Margaret Green Team
