Heat Wave – All Extra- Curriculars Cancelled this week!
Due to this Heat Wave our Junior Girls and Boys 3-pitch tournaments have been cancelled.
Unfortunately, there will NOT be a make-up tournament due to the volume of cancellations!
We are planning a game between the two teams during the school day for next week when the weather gets better!
Stay tuned.
We will monitor the weather regularly. Today our lunch was shortened to 20 minutes outside. Our recess and lunch times will be called ‘Walk and Talk’ time. No equipment will be aloud outside until it is safe to allow games and activities with movement again.
Gym classes will continue inside the gym and classroom teachers will make decisions on ‘extra’ outdoor time, weather permitting!
St Margaret New Roof Construction
St. Margaret Community:
You may have seen the blue sign in front of our parking lot. Some of our students have been very curious!
We will be getting our whole roof upgraded beginning next week. The major work will be completed over the summer. Storage bins will be safely put on our blacktop. We promise to keep you updated!
Supporting Math at Home Survey
Dear St. Margaret Families,
Schools offer a variety of opportunities for parents to learn more about how to support their children: for example, events related to mathematics may be held at the school (e.g., family math nights); teachers may provide newsletters or communicate with parents through apps or social media; and school or board websites may provide helpful tips about how parents can engage in their child’s mathematics learning outside of school and may even provide links where they can learn more or enjoy math activities together.
The following brief survey will assist our school district in gathering data about how parents/families feel in terms of being informed about what their children are learning in math, how parents/families feel about supporting their children’s learning in math, and about parental access to math learning resources at home.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and participation.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the collection of this information please contact K-12 Mathematics Coordinator, Board Math Lead, Petra LeDuc at petra.leduc@wcdsb.ca , 519-578-3660
